This self-paced, on-demand course provides in depth professional learning for teachers new to HSC Biology and also experienced teachers seeking further development around Non-infectious Disease and Disorders.
During this course, participants will:

- Learn a variety of analytical techniques for Non-infectious Disease and Disorders
- Learn common student misconceptions in Non-infectious Disease and Disorders and how to avoid or overcome them
- Acquire appropriate and varied pedagogies for Non-infectious Disease and Disorders
- Receive resources you can use with your students

Course Delivered by Lauren Hesse
Lauren Hesse is passionate about education and working with both students and teachers to improve their understanding of themselves as learners. She has eleven years teaching experience and has taught students from diverse social backgrounds, with a range of different abilities. Lauren works at Hunter School of Performing Arts in Newcastle, where she teaches Biology and Science Extension. She has extensive marking experience in Biology, including as a Senior Marker. Lauren is excited to share her experiences and skills with teachers and students through our professional learning workshops.
