Physics Partnership
Since 2015, CrookED Science has engaged with several high schools each year to compliment the work of their existing HSC Physics teachers and support students with the more tricky content and examination technique in light of the expectations of HSC markers and more recently the new syllabus. We have enjoyed great success with Physics Partnership Schools and are canvasing interest for HSC 2024 i.e. current Y11, to begin Term 4 2023 or Term 1 2024. This program is particularly suitable for small systems or clusters of schools.
How does this work?
- 1 flipped video per fortnight term-time:
- Every student will receive their own associated ePortfolio for each video to write notes and answer a couple of questions; these are marked with feedback within a few days
- 1 video conference (VC) per fortnight term-time, in the week following the flipped video:
- Delivered using Zoom
- Each lasting up to 2 hours to go over relevant past paper, sample and bespoke questions with worked solutions (multiple-choice, short and extended response); eradicating common misunderstandings and mistakes
- every student receives their own associated ePortfolio; multiple choice answers are submitted and marked online in real-time and collated individually for analysis later by class teachers
- students and teachers receive the slides and worked answers
- VCs can be recorded (if agreed by participating schools) and shared back to help with revision
- VC protocols and expectations shared and observed
Logistics
- Video conference:
- day within a fortnight agreed by participating schools e.g. Thursday of even weeks
- time agreed by participating schools e.g. 2.30-4.30pm
- Module 5 covered in Term 4, Modules 6-8 in Terms 1-3 with the potential for revision at any point if participating schools agree
Pricing
- Upon request
- Determined by number of students/participating schools
