Register and attend Year 12 Background Theory for the New Chemistry Syllabus to best prepare for the new Chemistry Syllabus through this hands-on STANSW NESA Registered PD workshop.

- Y11 & 12 TBC for 2019 (EOI)
This course is aimed at helping Stage 6 Chemistry teachers learn the theory in the new Year 12 Chemistry syllabus. In particular, we will unpack the chemistry behind the new content. We will be examining:
- Equilibrium and Acid Reactions
- Acid/base Reactions
- Organic Chemistry
- Applying Chemical Ideas
- Opportunities for Depth Studies
In addition, we will reflect on the progress of teaching the new Year 11 syllabus.
This course is best done in conjunction with the Year 12 Experiments for the New Chemistry Syllabus.
Completing Year 12 Background Theory for the New Chemistry Syllabus will contribute 5 hours of NESA Registered PD per day, addressing 4 standards per day from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
