This course is aimed at helping Stage 6 Chemistry teachers learn the theory in the new Year 12 Chemistry syllabus. In particular, we will unpack the chemistry behind the new content. We will be examining:
- Equilibrium and Acid Reactions
- Acid/base Reactions
- Organic Chemistry
- Applying Chemical Ideas
- Opportunities for Depth Studies
In addition, we will reflect on the progress of teaching the new Year 11 syllabus.
This course is best done in conjunction with the Year 12 Experiments for the New Chemistry Syllabus (Saturday 3rd November 2018) course in the Inner West.
