Register now for Year 12 Experiments for the New Biology Syllabus, a 1-day, hands-on, NESA endorsed workshop to best prepare for the experiments in the new Year 12 Biology syllabus. Please choose from the following options:
- Western Sydney (Y12 Theory & Experiments) – 23 & 24 August (Week 5, Term 3)
- Inner West (Y12 Theory & Experiments) – 6th & 7th September (Week 7, Term 3)
- Others TBC – Terms 3 & 4 2018
This course is designed to help teachers further develop their experimental knowledge and repertoire for the new Biology Syllabus. Focusing on the Year 12 modules, teachers will conduct a variety of experiments that range from simple to complex across all modules examined.
This course is best done in conjunction with Year 12 Theory for the New Biology Syllabus.
Australian Professional Teaching Standards
This course addresses the following National Professional Standards for Teachers:
1.5.2 Develop teaching activities that incorporate differentiated strategies to meet the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities.
2.1.2 Apply knowledge of the content and teaching strategies of the teaching area to develop engaging teaching activities.

7.2.2 Understand the implications of and comply with relevant legislative, administrative, organisational and professional requirements, policies and processes.

CrookED Science’s Year 12 Experiments for the New Biology Syllabus will contribute 5 hours of QTC Registered PD, addressing 1.5.2, 2.1.2, 6.2.2 and 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
