Experiments for the New Physics Stage 6 Syllabus

Register now for a 1-day, hands-on, NESA endorsed workshop to best prepare for the new Physics Stage 6 Syllabus.

With the arrival of the new Stage 6 Physics Syllabus, we have created a course, Experiments for the New Physics Stage 6 Syllabus, to empower Stage 6 physics teachers with providing their students with novel hands-on experiences and experiments to engage them in their study of physics. The activities incorporated will cover experiments for the new content in the new syllabus, particularly Thermodynamics, Waves and Electric Circuits, and look at learning opportunities in the Depth Studies.

This course is best done in conjunction with Unpacking the New Physics Stage 6 Syllabus.

This course is most appropriate for a region, cluster or community of schools. Please contact us and fill out the expression of interest form if your organisation is interested in arranging or hosting.

Australian Professional Teaching Standards

This course addresses the following National Professional Standards for Teachers:
1.2.2 Structure teaching programs using research and collegial advice about how students learn.
2.1.2 Apply knowledge of the content and teaching strategies of the teaching area to develop engaging teaching activities.
3.4.2 Select and/or create and use a range of resources, including ICT, to engage students in their learning.
6.4.2 Undertake professional learning programs designed to address identified student learning needs.
