Facilitator Matt Dodds will get you excited about teaching the highly practical, STEM based, Investigating Science syllabus with confidence.

Join Matt and become clear on the new Investigating Science Syllabus. Matt has put together an exciting program that will take participants through the first Scientific ‘Data Collectors’ such as Tycho Brahe and Galileo Galilee to the subsequent ‘Data Miners’ such as Johannes Kepler and Florence Nightingale. We also explore the contribution of the Alchemists, as they focus on experimentation and the fundamental nature of matter including Phlogiston and the Oxygen theory of Combustion.

Registered Hours

Completing Experiments and Background Theory for Stage 6 Investigating Science will contribute 5 hours of NESA Registered PD per day, addressing 4 standards per day from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Professional development hours are accredited by Science Teachers’ Association of NSW Inc
