$250AUD + GST per person for 3.5 hours of PD + resources

This self-paced, on-demand course provides in depth professional learning for teachers to help teach the Stage 4 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander content in the new 7-10 Science syllabus. During this course, participants will:

  • learn the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander stories, examples and activities across all relevant Focus Areas in the new Stage 4 Science syllabus:
    – Observing the Universe
    – Forces
    – Cells and classification
    – Solutions and mixtures
    – Change
  • learn the appropriate pedagogy for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander content
  • learn the appropriate activities for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander content
  • access and review classroom resources for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander content across all Focus Areas in the new Stage 4 Science syllabus

All participants will receive a certificate of completion outlining their hours upon completion.

Course Delivered by Renee Eagles

Renee a proud Wiradjuri woman who has worked as an educator in the public system for over sixteen years. She has always had a passion for science and her culture. Being able to combine two of her passions together and share this passion as an educator brings her joy. For over eleven years she has been the Aboriginal Coordinator for her school, which allows her to support her mob, improve outcomes for her Aboriginal students and help support her school in delivering Aboriginal education to all students.
